My Dad ate there while building the Free Press building in the 30's. We ate there as kids. I was in Detroit over the week-end and it crossed my mind. I would have done anything to have one. Had American instead, oh well, just not even close.

No problem with the kissing part, as long as he/she ate the same. May be just an urban myth but I heard that they have a certain aphrodesiac quality. I don`t want to start anything, it`s just something I heard.

Norwalk....What is the origin of that name. Perhaps a little midwest town in Ohio big on drag racing, not so much on coney islands??? Just asking though?

I think Lafayette uses Dearborn brand hot dogs. Kowalski's are decent too though.

Lafayette uses Winters. Just look in the glass cooler near the door.

I know one time it was Dearborn brand. They must shop around as prices change. No complaints with the Winters product though. When I worked at a Deli their dried snack franks were quite popular.

I make a pretty good copy of coney island chili to get my fix in San Diego. I use a chili block made by XLNT from Los Angeles. I add more ground beef and chili beans. If I use it on loose hamburgers or hot dogs, I leave out the beans.

In upper NY state & New England, the coneys are named "Michigan Dogs".
They love our greasy wieners but not our V-8 Fords.

Do they deliver to Germany? and, will they take Euros? ( I`ll even add the 14% tip, of course, if they deliver warm).
