Todays WSJ has a major article on "The Best Barbecue" in the country. Slows is rated one of of the best of the "top 10." (Some reviews of some historically famous places were not very complimentary.) Quotes re: Slows: "Your grease covered jaw will drop at the perfection this rust-belt kitchen achieves with Q classics." "Slows (no apostrophe please) in Detroit...is a treasure-house of Q eclecticism. Its ribs were as good as any we encountered anywhere." CONGRATULATIONS. Sorry, I don't know how to post the article, but maybe someone else can. |

Congrats! to Phil and the Slows gang. Awesome that on google earth, Slows pops up as a notable location... or something. I don't eat dead pigs, but Detroit welcomes the national spotlight. THANKS SLOWS! Now how bout that corktown masterplan??? |
