What is the best pet supply store in Metro Detroit?

I thought maybe Pet Supplies Plus, but their variety is sometimes lacking...

Probably depends a lot on where you live and what you're looking for.

For aquarium supplies I really like Pet Connection @ Middlebelt & 5 Mile.

For cat/dog supplies, Chap's Feed Store, also @ Middlebelt & 5 Mile.

Its more a question of general interest, but I am looking for a wire basket muzzle for my puppy (who likes to eat rocks).

Why not try Petco or PetsMart?

If you prefer to stay away from the chains, then the Greenwood PetShop in 9 Mile in Warren might have them

Yeah, they only have the kind that clamp the dogs mouth shut (versus a basket type).

"Any animal dumb enough to eat rocks isn't long for this world."

Why? It all comes out in the end.

Sensitive comment there, Crew. She is a brand new puppy and almost died from it and had to have emergency surgery. So, I am getting a wire basket muzzle until she gets bigger and learns.

Try Sassy N Classy on Asbury Park and Grand River. They also double as a nail salon and wig store. I purchase all my bitch dawg supplies there.

At Canine To Five we spend a LOT on dog supplies. The cheapest I have found is online, at www.petedge.com.
I know they have basket muzzles.
Hope you bring the new puppy to our dog park, the outdoor portion will be open later this month!!!!!!!

For birds, it's Wildbirds on Mack Avenue just west of Vernier in Grosse Pointe Woods.

Sassy N Classy also takes food stamps for all merchandise/services as well (double value on Saturday's between 1-5 a.m.). Nails & wigs dropped for polishing or cleaning are done by 5:00 the next day. Now this is true mom & pop service you won't find at Meijer's or Target. Do NOT lose your claim stub! They wouldn't believe me when I returned someone elses nails with some type of metallic decals on them. I'm a classy bitch, dammit!

I mainly use K-9 Specialties to buy dog food, bedding, and treats; Pet Supplies Plus in Royal Oak or Val's in Clawson for last-minute supplies; and Tractor Supply for heartworm vaccine, water bowls and buckets, fencing, etc.
