Back in 2004 there was an article about Niketown opening a store in downtown. The article had details of the date it was to open, Christmas 2004, and the loans they received to fund it.

Does anyone know what happened to this?
Why did Niketown not open as planned?

Yeah that is a good question. I remember reading about that. What happened aside from the obvious?

It did open. Only thing is it is not really a Niketown, but rather a storefront that is attached to the Athlete's Foot. I think someone was being very liberal for marketing, one room does not a Niketown make.
