Now if we could just get Aretha to show, we could become the Vegas of the Mid-West!

The only difference between a b and a v is the rumble of the voicebox.

The best line in that article:

"Television ads in the Cleveland market include images of gambling, including one that calls Detroit "a real city.""

quote:

Friends balked when he told them he was visiting Detroit, and he worried as he drove past smokestacks and grimy industrial landscapes. "Once you get in the city central, it's beautiful, very nice," Lucy said. "I'd like to come back out here again. I like Detroit. I never thought I'd say that."

I thought that was pretty funny....lol

Didn't Forbes say that Detroit will be a ghost city in 100 years?

Or was that Forves?!?

"he worried as he drove past smokestacks and grimy industrial landscapes."

Just for the sake of curiosity, anybody know if the majority of out of town visitors come via this way (north on I-75)? Obviously anyone coming from Chicago or the west, would generally take like 94. Seems too bad though that all the downriver rouge river facilities are a lot of people's first impressions.

Running on not much sleep. That could be where the drunkeness impression comes from.
