There is a big vacant lot at the corner of Woodward and Stimson. It's right next to the Detroit One Coney Island. It is completely caged in by tall fencing and barbed wire. It seems it has been like that for a long time. Anyone know about this lot? What the hell are they trying to protect?

It's owned by the water department. There was a plan to build a new water department HQ there but it never happened. I don't understand the barbed wire fence either. Seems odd to protect a vacant lot.

Is the city trying to sell the lot?

They seem to be interested in selling other property.

they should use it for cruel and unusual punishment. anyone caught dogfighting should be dropped in there and left to fend for themselves against 10-12 dog fighting dogs...
