Earlier this summer, we learned of Houston-based Hines Co. plans to build a luxury condo tower next to the Renaissance Center. I thought we were supposed to see renderings and hear more details about this tower in August. Well August has come and gone and to my knowledge, no new info about this development. Did i miss anything?

Where would it go? Thats all GM parking. I don't know whats left for them to build on.

Yeah I've been checking the website pretty regularly and there's been no change, as you can see from the link Michigansheik posted...

I figured August was a bit optimistic

GM plans to develope all those surface lots. The Ren Shore would be going on the smaller wedge lot on the river side of the Asian Village.

Thats wrong-
I work for RenCen mgmt (not Hines) and this is the first Ive heard about it.
Ill have to ask about it today, suppossing everyone else has heard about it.

GM's intentions for those lots has been pretty well documented. The plan for several years has been to develope those lots into mixed use buildings with an emphasis on residential. They will not remain surface parking. There has been a lot of talk of this on the site and if you searched it im sure you would find a lot more information with rendering and maps.
