But was the sign effective? Sometimes things like that have a way of backfiring. |

Yeah, the dumper probably felt "disrespected" and brought his gun with him to the alley next time. |

around the corner from a friends there are a gaggle of people shitting and pissing behind a dumpster (near a gas station) so far there has been no solution we've thought of. The stench during the summer is terrible. We figured if we put a sign up more people would piss on it out of spite. Any one have some solutions? Its in and extremely well lit area on a major road. we though tack strips might work ha. |

Extremely low frequency sound will drive people away. I read one time how the Throbbing Gristle crew had obnoxious partiers behind their house and put killer amps out back facing into the ground and played 10 hz. tone at 100 decibels. The losers left. |

Yes but its a gas station. Generally 10hz @ 100 decibels is coming from that direction at all hours. I suppose giving the area a squirt down with the hose daily is about as good as possible. |

Motion-detecting lights sure seem to bother people. I hear junkies don't like light. Junkie logic goes like this: I need to take a shit. Over there? Oh, when I go over there that light comes on! I fucking hate light. Now what was I thinking about? Oh, yeah. It's time to rob some motherfucker. |

Lob some fire-crakers over the fence while they are pissing/shitting and watch them all run away. after nearly getting a fire cracker up the ass a couple times, the dirty folks will find a new public latrine. toss over an occasional M-80 for some extra laughs. |

It think its mostly people who drive up at night to fill up their at the gas station rather than a band of regulars ha. The motion sensor light might be worth it though. |

Having an easily seen camera pointed at it (doesn't necessarily have to be working) might help keep people away. But then again, drunk/high people usually don't notice things like that. |

Why don't you hook up a camera, license the site www.watchmepeebehindthegasstat ion.com, and use the proceeds to hire somebody to clean up all that schitt, maybe even buy a tank of gas? |

Can anybody vouch that this sign is real? What street/alley is it on? It surely isn't in my neighborhood, most folks are not English-proficient enough to write that very nice little diatribe. The only place we get any real dumping is behind Greater Detroit Hospital. Our alleys aren't that bad. (Watch it, I'll go outside and find a disease infested mattress as payback for writing this.) |

I am really surprised not one of you suggested that a toilet be provided by the city, and paid for by the home owner. |

Bulletmagnet, then the I'd-rather-cry-my-ass-off-all- day-than-pay-taxes crowd would start braying. (Apparently their rugged individualism has no truck with subsidized Internet access.) |

Ever wonder why some places won't let folks use their toilets? Nothing like going to a gas station and have shit all over the walls or unflushed, clogged johns. No excuse for behavior like that. |
