I went to Saltwater last night. Everything was excellent; wonderful food and service. Prices are not cheap, but well worth it. |

I saw on the sneak peak that the master chef Puck sent to run the MGM restaurant is a native Detroiter. He said he sent him on purpose because he thought a Detroiter would be more succesful. Go Wolfgang! I think he already worked for Puck, I don't think he is the Chef the owner of Andiamo's was complaining MGM stole, but I'm not sure. |

One upside to the Casino restaurants, despite the grumblings of Andiamo's. Now world class caliber chefs from the area don't have to leave to find a job. |

When you go to the Hotel, make sure you all take a gander at the art work. Detroit artists have lots of work in there---in the lobbies and in each of the hotel rooms. |

My fiancee' and I went to Bourbon Steak last Thursday. It was very good. Good service, thought the waitress was not yet very polished with the menu. I had the American Kobe filet mignon and my fiancee' had the standard filet. When I go back, I'll save the extra $30 and go with the base filet. |

I went to the Palette dining studio (casino buffet) last thursday and it was incredible. The only problem was that we did not have a server, but it seemed to have been a scheduling glitch. The food was incredible, especially the seafood selections and the tapas style specialties that came presented in very creative ways, such as a fig and prosciutto appetizer sprinkled with balsamic vinegar. The mini desserts were wonderful, especially the creme brulee, as was everything else I tasted. Try going during a weekday, because we only waited in line for 10 minutes and this was for a 7 pm dinner. |

Palette Dining Studio has to be the best buffet that I've been too. I've never been to a buffet where they serve lamb...I thought that was quite different. But they have a nice selection and even though there usually is a line to eat there, it's really not that bad of a wait. |
