Wasn't all casinos supposed to have new performance spaces? If that's the case, then where is MGM Grand's? I have not seen anything that resembles a theater area anywhere inside the complex... |

That's a very good question D_S... MGM's original permanent casino renderings included not only an 800 room hotel, but a 4,000 seat theatre. Of course all casinos got to downsize their hotels, and MGM seems to have eliminated their theatre as well. Greektown and MotorCity are each supposedly adding a 1,200 seat theatre to their rebuilt temporary sites, but MGM got away with "convention space" for over 1,000... which I guess could be converted to a showroom. But flat showroom space provides for poor sightlines for many in the audience. |

I remember seeing an interview on the news with one of MGM's managers. He said that Earth, Wind,& Fire would be playing there in December. |
