I want to clear something up for a project I am doing.
I just want to make sure I understand this right.
Prior to the tax vote in 1995, SMART got all its funding from the state, and served all communties in Metro Detroit?
Only after local communities were asked to vote in a tax, where they allowed to opt out, and that is why places like Novi don't have buses now?
Am I correct then that Detroit did have region wide transit till about 1995? |
