In the Ford/Kahn thread I mentioned this suit and finally got around to looking it up for specifics. While a Jewish connection is distant here, it was an independent Jewish filmmaker who spurred on the anti-trust action breaking up MPPC (a motion picture production cartel which included Edison) which allowed Vitagraph to form its own distribution system (as Vitagraph-Lubin-Selig-Essannay ).

Ford's rant about the Jewish control of Hollywood appeared about five years after this lawsuit. According to Ford R. Bryan's book "Henry's Attic" the lawsuit was dropped after the US entered WWI in 1917.
