Could you be a bit more specific? What type of gifts or products are you really looking for from Michigan? Stroh's? Better Made? Faygo? Morley Canday? Do you want it al in a gift basket or piece by piece?

Is it somethig like these:

-https://www.michiganpeddler.com/retail_shop/
-http://www.buymichiganproducts.com/Public/Products.php?catid=33
-http://www.creativegifts2go.com/Michigangifts.html

This was all on the first page of a Google search.

I personally attest to the awesomeness of all these spices. Great gift baskets for sale.

These monks make some of the best jams I've ever had. Unfortunately, I don't see their rum cake on their website. I swear, they use a fifth of rum in every cake.

WooHoo, I take that back...click fruitcakes and check out the last few items on the page...all contain alcohol. The lemon cake with Brandy is excellent!

Hey Spirit-

I don't have a place up there, I'm in the Detroit area, but I send and receive gift packages from them fairly regularly.

They're my "go to" place. People love the products...as do I!

Hopefully I get up there soon to visit.

Now you're walkin' my alley.

Check out the State's page on Pure Michigan products at http://www.michigan.org/travel /press/news/combo.asp?ContentI d=C300EF6B-9571-4DC8-85F7-6D92 953301F1

Off the beaten path, if you call the Awrey's retail outlet in Livonia (800-950-BAKE), they will ship product across the country. We sent Long John Coffee Cake this year.

Also, Jiffy Mix (Chelsea Milling Company) sells a sampler box of all their mixes, including some you never see in the stores. Call them at (734) 475-1361 for information. We picked ours up after touring the facility -- it's a great tour. www.jiffymix.com

And, of course, there's Achatz pies. Best you'll ever taste. See their website at www.achatzpies.com

- And for those people on your gift-giving list who are hard to buy for since they already have everything, how about a donation in their name to a local charity like the Friends of Historic Fort Wayne, or The Greening of Detroit?

First Post. Been reading for a while but I couldn't resist promoting these guys.

Food for Thought is an organic, fair-trade, small
scale farmer in the Traverse City area. They have a great philosophy and like many other local businesses, and deserve our patronage. Thier Blueberry Lavender and Blackberry Shiraz preserves are amazing. My wife and I
have gifted these to friends all over the world. We regularly purchase them from Avalon Bakery but can also be found at Whole Foods (Ann Arbor, ?
others). The complete collection can be found at

I sent out a gift box on Wednesday full of Michigan products. If you use the USPS, don't tell them that there is a bottle of wine in the box. They don't like that. I had to wait until the next day to ship the box and I had to go to a different office because I couldn't unring that bell.

How about Kilwin's products...chocolate, caramel corn, fudge, etc. I just sent Kilwin's instead of Gharadelli to my girlfriend's parents simply because it was from MI. We all know that MI needs my money more than CA.
