Recommendations for New Year's Eve in Detroit? I've seen most of the listings in the papers and online...what looks good?

Arturo's??? It's in the middle of sterile Office complex in the Star theater... Sounds pretty uneventful to me.

Lmcdet: It's what's happening inside that counts!! Arturo's on New Year's Eve should be pretty spectacular music-wise: http://www.arturosjazz.com/ind ex.php?id=11&PHPSESSID=db24632 01bf7ba4b07e30b3dddc5bd7a

If had $150 to spend, I'd go to New Year's Nation, probably. I'm going to Electric Six instead, then to Hamtramck for bar hopping until the sun comes up.

Here's more stuff to do, and more stuff in Thursday's paper as well:

And what, pray tell, will you be ringing it with?

I absolutely agree about a gathering at CMP! There are so many possibilities for a great event in that area, especially with all the space available at Cadillac Square Park.
