a few have my camera reflections in them, but still, they do present a sort of... Lord of the Rings, or Camelot feel to them. I wouldn't want to be out on that Hart's Plaza ferry during that fog!

What building were you in when you took the pics? Looks like you were on a high floor. Great pics by the way!

Awesome. I've seen some great photos from both this morning and this evening. Detroit looks a bit different in this weather.

Mackinaw,

I thought on my drive in from Grosse Pointe this evening that someone should be SHOOTING all of this for future use in some film...it would be so great to establish an eerie mood. Weird weather like this should be captured for posterity.

Even just the city lights through the fog...that is some really beautiful stuff.

Cheers!

Most definitely, Gannon. Certain combinations of light and weather occur very infrequently and they make those unique perspectives.

That Marine Layer has moved on shore here in NE Detroit and it's dense as heck! It developed so quickly after a clear, sunny day (after the morning dense fog, lol).

I took them from the top floor of the Madden building (150 W. Jefferson). You'd be surprised how the folks who work there never look out their windows

Gorgeous pics. I drove to Windsor this morning and was amazed at the fog. I could barely see the Ambassador Bridge towers as I drove across. It was eerie and yet beutiful- just like the pics here.

Very nice shot of the Ambassador at sunset.
I just sent my sister in S.F a link.

Awesome! I left Cobo yesterday just before 5:00, and had a similar view towards the bridge. The camera in my phone is kaput, however, so I was only able to retain a snapshot in my mind. I had a good feeling that someone here would have captured it in a more accessible format, and you do not disappoint.

Wait, that was post #501? Did I say anything memorable for #500? Probably not...oh well.
