I spent most of the day today roaming around the city, walking and driving. I like watching the changes taking place. I've always admired the Patterson Terrace building in Brush Park, even though it is quite dilapidated. I was shocked to notice that the lower unit on the east end of the building appears occupied. There are flower pots on the ledge and a Christmas wreath on the door. Question: Who lives there? Squatters or legitimate resident? I checked the new Google Street View and it appears it was occupied this summer. The same flower pots are on the ledge. I realize this isn't an important question, I am just curious who would live in a building in this shape. It would be great to see that building rehabbed.

That unit has been occupied for the last several years, if not longer, leading me to believe that it is a legitimate resident.

Certainly would be nice to see the whole building rehabbed and occupied!!

That building is stunning (minus the neon green paint somebody used on various areas) and I've always wondered why it wasn't being fixed up. It's in better shape than other buildings that have been and are currently being restored in the neighborhood. I've noticed the occupied unit as well the last couple years. I'm curious if it's an owner or a renter.

The Patterson Terrace building was cleaned out about 2 months ago and the doors and windows were freshly boarded. I'm not sure what the plan is, but someone recently took the time to clean out a decades worth of garbage and human feces and secure it.

I believe it may be under the HipCityLiving umbrella of properties they eventually plan to rehab
