How is the resale value on hybrids/alt. fuel vehicles? People were discussing that the other day at work. Someone suggested that the cost of replacing the battery or something in a hybrid made that vehicle nearly worthless in resale. Just wondering if that is true or not...

I don't think there is a state tax credit for hybrid vehicles. I believe that the federal tax credit only applies to the initial purchase. What does a used Escape go for these days?

I just did my taxes and the federal deduction does not apply to used hybrids. Don't know about Michigan taxes, but I can't imagine that they'd extend a rebate the Feds don't. Sorry, Charlie.
