Flipside, 14 mile in Clawson. Lots of cheap music and some occasional imports. |

Record Time & Record Collector in downtown Ferndale, right across from each other. Solo Records on Woodward near 12 or 13. All the FYE stores carry used. |

Detroit Threads on Jos. Campau in Hamtramck will buy CDs (and possibly tapes, depending on what you've got, but don't count on getting a lot for them). Also, Dearborn Music on Michigan Ave. in Dearborn buys CDs. Rock of Ages, on Ford Rd. in Garden City, I think does, too. |

The closing of Record Time in Ferndale has me seriously bummed. When did they decide to close? Soon all independent music stores will be gone. How quickly the internet changed this industry. |

Yeah. Talk about a bummer on RT in Ferndale closing. That store was actually one of the reasons I moved to Ferndale in the first place! |

Everyone on here knows by now that I'm a vinyl junkie. Solo is good; late last summer I went to Street Corner Music for the 1st time. Wow. I was impressed: they even had a nice number of brand-new records. I also noticed a lot of CDs. Flea markets, like Dixieland at Telegraph & Dixie in Waterford Twp., can be good for used CD's and tapes. |

Wazoo Records in Ann Arbor. Don't think they mess with casette tapes any longer though. Not sure Record Collector in Ferndale does either. I'm thinking of setting up a tapes-only room in my house. I've got too many good ones to just get rid of them all. Wish they still made tape decks an option on cars. |
