For those interested, I took a ton of pictures from the Detroit Autorama yesterday and have uploaded nearly 300. Check them out on my blog, as well as my link at the end to my flickr account. http://www.motorcitymuscle.blo gspot.com |

I like the ratrods in the basement. Too much chrome and shiny paint for me upstairs. |

Very nice cars. I tend to like the ones that are a little different than the cookie cutter ones, and thought that Corvair was very nice. If I had the garage space, I would build me a Rat Rod. When I was young, they were the norm. I have been a Car Nut since the late 50s when I lived in Redford, down the street from the President of the Quartermilers Car Club. He had a nice 56/57 Olds with 2x4s, and all tricked out. I still love performance cars, and have 5 years into my week end play car. It has 757 RWHP, and runs on E85. Here are some shots of the project. http://members.tccoa.com/392bi rd/ We have to grow old, but we do not have to grow up. |

My friend that painted my Camaro has a restored 57 Olds with a 371 w/tri-power, sharp cars, nice cruisers. Not anywhere near your 757 rwhp though! Myself, I'm shooting for 650-700 hp on the engine, close to 1,000 with my nitrous kit. Just picked up my roller lifters a few weeks ago and bought my cam a couple years ago. .678/.688 lift just to give ya an idea, so it should be a thumper. |

The People Mover was so packed on Saturday!! I wonder if the Autorama had a larger crowd this year? |

Supersport: Yea, that will sound great. When my engine was NA, I had a cam in the 650 range, with a center at 108. It ran and sounded great. I hated pulling it, and putting in a much milder cam, with a supercharger friendly 114 center. I gave up a great cam sound, but gained one heck of a supercharger sound. Oh, the guy down the street from me with the Olds was Ron Radhoff (spl? ) From what I was told, he ending up forming one of the major Nitrous companys. No luck tracking him down. Gear Head Forever... |

My last build was a 513 hp big block chevy, had a .629/.605 lift solid flat tappet. Sounded quite mean, had a lot of thump to it with it's 11-1 cr, ran 11.70's in the 1/4. Can't wait to get my car back on the road and fire it up with a few hundred extra ponies. |
