Oh, excellent. Goodness knows that there are absolutely no machinery and equipment build companies in S.E. Michigan which they could use to supply their needs.

From the article:
The company may transfer business from other company facilities to Warren, plus operations from other firms that Brose plans to acquire....

Founded in Germany about 100 years ago, Brose launched its North American operations in the late 1990s.

Why should they buy new equipment from local suppliers when they can transfer existing equipment to use for their Chrysler contract?

Hopefully, this is the beginning of a trend. We got three things here, Talent, Cheap labor and Cheap housing. Could be enough.

I don't think it will be a trend, but the weak dollar should help US manufacturers with their overseas sales, thus stabilizing our local industries.
