"In other action at Tuesday, the Brownfield Authority board approved two midtown residential projects. One is a $2.9 million, 20-townhouse complex on Trumbull Avenue between Sycamore and Ash streets near MotorCity Casino. The other is a $14 million, five-story student housing building on Cass Avenue south of Warren Avenue in the Wayne State University area, with about 70 residential units and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space." |

Any renderings of the 5-story building? Unless I've been clueless for a while now (possible), I don't recall seeing anything on this development. When I read the article, for some reason I assumed it was the Studio One development. |

Unless the article is wrong, it is not Studio One. The article gives a pretty specific location ON Cass SOUTH of Warren. That is definitely not Studio One |

Perhaps they have something planned for the site where the Forest Apartments used to be. It's on the West side of Cass, North of Forest, opposite Twingo's and the dry cleaners. It's currently a parking lot since they took the apartment building down, but could be used for redevelopment. That's about the only open space on Cass between Warren and Forest. |
