I see we are lamenting the loss of another good restaurant, Maria's Front Room in Fabulous Ferndale. I never heard of the joint and I had relatives that lived there for 20+ years. How many more places like this exist? Good food, good value, good service? Let's patronize them before they disappear. I'll start: Monte's Grill at the Saranay Motel on Woodward in RO. Great burgers. But they close right after lunch. | ||

Is Cadena's still in downtown Detroit? GREAT Mexican food that I enjoyed on many a lunch hour. I think it was on Lafayette, but not sure. | ||

Wow Grumpyoldlady I havent thought of Cadena's in years. Used to go there for lunch when I worked in the Detroit Bank and Trust building. (a very long time ago!). Cadena's was my first Mexican food experience. |
