A judge awarded the lawyers for "Communities for Equity" over 7 million dollars. They filed suit against MHSAA claiming girls sports were discriminated against in seasons and scheduling of girls sports. The net worth of the non-profit Michigan High School Athletic Association is estimated at nearly 6 million dollars.
