"Wash man,

If you used DD for the federal return, then the stimulus check will also be DD?"

That's MY interpretation. Mine will be here 05/09!

Wouldn't it be funny if the government came out and said psyche your mind...we really do not have this in the budget.

Talking about pissed off people!

We'll be paying for our Annual Michigan trip with it (plane fare, car rental). But we would have done that anyway, taking about the same amount from the savings account. So, in effect, we're just putting it into the savings account since we won't be touching it after all. Follow?

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but paying bills is still putting money back into the economy.

I don't think my family is going to qualify either. If I get anything, it's going into savings/investments. I'm already saving for a new place and a business. I'm not going to suddenly go out and spend this extra money because I have it. I already have my plans set and payed for for the year. Why buy stuff I don't need?

I was thinking about it...

What durable manufactured good can I get for this time of year that is Made in the USA and would cost under $600 (or even less)...

So, I found it at Sears. Snapper lawnmower with key start, rear wheel drive, etc for under $400. Nice.

Let's see...we borrow money from China...go to Wal-Mart to buy Chinese made goods...and this is suppose to be good for the economy of the U.S...so says the spinal cord with ears but no brain that lives in the White House.

"A whole bunch of Mag Lights!"

Or Weiss tin Snips. The ACE Hardware store in Hazel Park still features a good assortment of US made items, all though frustrating as it is the selection does shrink every year. I some how managed to pick up a US made garden hose nozzle from them recently.

"Not to rain on anybody's parade, but paying bills is still putting money back into the economy."

Maybe, but not in the way Bush intended. He'd rather we run to Walmart and hand the money over to the Chinese.
