Maybe he is ill. Why don't you send him a get well card c/o his TV station? If it comes back 'Return to sender', you'll have your answer. |

According to their website, he's still there. Who knows? Maybe he's working on some really in depth piece that needs his full attention? Again, maybe. |

Last I saw him was work he'd done on the Tamara Green murder. Before that, it was the Ecorse mayor and a contractor who have come under Federal investigation as a result of his undercover story. |

I used to work at what was then WJBK-TV2..now Fox2. All incoming calls were routed through me, except for calls to private direct lines. Give the station a call and ask about him, or ask to speak to him. If he is on leave you should end up with his voice mail. You would be surprised how easy it is to get through to the newsroom folks. |

Well that answered my question what happened to WJBK. I used to watch that a lot when I lived up there. Even though I was a kid I still remember to this day watching Leaping Larry Shane die live on WXYZ in a wrestling match. I might be fuzzy on details but that's the high point I remember. |

From what I remember (many, many years ago) Leaping Larry Shane was on a wrestling match on WXYZ. My brother and I were watching it. Some hold was used on him and he started bleeding out his mouth and nose. He was carried off on a stretcher and it was later announced he was dead at the hospital. We lived in Berkley at the time on Tyler Ave and left in the mid 60s to give you a time frame idea. I don't know how much is accurate since I was young but that's the impression that has been burned in my brain for decades. (Message edited by rid0617 on May 17, 2008) |

First his last name is spelled "Chene" not "Shane". He did NOT die as a result of an occupational injury...he died in an accident on I-96. I simply did a search for "Leaping Larry Chene" and found many links about this. Hope this helps. Sorry to continue off thread. |

Rid? How young were you? I lived on Tyler in Berkley in 1965 (stayed with my older brother for a while)until I moved out to Romeo. |

Remember wrestling is fake. Only death I remember was a WWF affair a few years ago. Strictly an accident not scripted. |

Larry Chene who's actual last name was Beauchene did not die on I-96. Larry Chene died from a car accident in Illinois on the back to Detroit in October 1964. Larry lived on the east side of Detroit around E. Outer Drive and Gratiot on Promenade St. His family were parishioners at St.David |

Thank you for clearing up the Leaping Larry. I don't know why but for some reason that memory has been with me my whole life. Maybe it was some sort of stunt and being a kid I didn't remember it properly. As for Berkley we lived at 2312 Tyler Ave. It was a corner house green and white. Across the street, same side in another corner house was my grandparents the Nitchske's. I was a junior high student when we left. |

Scott Lewis is airing a recent investigation he did on Monica Conyers tonight Wednesday the 21st. It appears to center around the use of a vehicle from what I can glean from the promo. |

I can understand now why Monica Conyers supports Kwame Kilpatrick. To not see the obvious ethical consequences of doing personal business with a contractor while deciding on that contractor's bid for a contract demonstrates a complete lack of moral standard. Monica and Kwame are political opportunists who appeal to the bias of their constituencies. We haven't seen the last of these demagogues. |

Monica looks so ridiculous in this piece. She was so proud and smug when she went 360 degrees in the door and gave her crappy retort. It was embarrassing to watch her. (Message edited by emuaaron on May 22, 2008) |
