Does the fact that he did not shoot his police weapon make this more or less acceptable?
And the fact that he thought they were being tailgated is supposed to mitigate this HOW??

Detroit313, you got that from Beverly Hills Cop? :-)

"In Detroit, a police officer is required to carry his weapon at all times."

"This isn't Detroit"

The officer was arrested on Rapid City Road which follows the Rapid River from Rapid City to Kalkaska. I built a house near that road in the mid 70's. I was never bothered by off duty Detroit police but the black flies could be bad.

Beautiful place it was. This is Rugg Pond at the head of the Rapid River near Kalkaska. http://farm2.static.flickr.com /1208/1332540607_561cf8f7ed.jp g?v=0

I would rather have not enough police than ones that act like this. People need to learn to put their egos aside when they drive. It's a machine that needs to be respected, not a tool for you to stick bumper stickers on and express yourself with. At least, that's my two cents on the matter.
