The other day I saw bits and pieces of "The Blues Brothers" and during the performance of "Sweet Home Chicago" it got me to thinking....I can't think of a song that is quite as well known about our own metropolis or region (Though I'm sure when people come up with one I'll kick myself for not remembering). So, what songs at least contain references (even slightly obscure ones)to Detroit, or even Michigan for that matter. We had a thread about this a couple of yrs ago. I think it was decided "Hello Detroit" was as close to an official song as there is. I used to like hearing it while leaving Tiger Stadium.
