Drove by the Civic theater this morning to find it damaged by fire and boarded up. It know it will never open as a theater again, but it's always sad to see old buildings like that destroyed by fire or neglect.

I should clarify that I'm referring to the Civic on Kelly, and not the Farmington Civic.

In the late '40s and early '50s the Mapleridge gang used to trek to the Civic every Saturday. Didn't matter what was playing; we always went.
