Hey, so here was last summer's dilemma that is resurfacing...

Where on earth can we get a decent milkshake downtown or midtown? Really anywhere in biking distance will do...

In the evening you can stand outside the YMCA and see many during the aerobics class through the glass.

Absolutely the best place is at Happy Cream across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe and towards Greektown a block.

The couple who own and run it are some of the best folks on the earth, and the name is no joke. You'll be happy after you meet them.

Happy Cream? Excellent. I was hoping for some non-chain places, is Happy Cream one of them?

"Who said there are no chains downtown?"

If you can eat junk food and wear it on your back and feet, then I guess there are chains downtown.

Someone help me out... What's that dessert shop in Greektown?

They have milk shakes still, right?

And just about every other desert you can imagine! They also have sodas and hand dipped ice cream. As well as chocolate dipped strawberries. Even without much money, you can still find something good there.

In Trapper's Alley/Greektown (probably the same one Sean is thinking about).

Django - a coworker just told me they have it at the thai place in the compuware building.

I always thought it sounded gross, but I became addicted to that stuff last time I was in Toronto.
