The Mackinac Policy Conference is in full swing and Crain's is there to cover it -- with some help from special guest bloggers and you, our readers. We invite you to read stories, watch video and talk to our bloggers on the island at www.crainsdetroit.com/mackinac.

Hmmm-- doesn't this violate the no-advertising policy of this forum?

Maybe Crain's just holds this forum in such high regards that they want us involved.

It's only fair given how much of Crain's intellectual property has appeared on this site for free over the years.

If it's something that's topical and relevant, what's the difference? If your inbox is getting stuff from 'em, that's completely different. 18 posts in 15 months doesn't seem like a lot, IMHO.

I have to ask: why is the Mackinac Policy Conference still considered relevant to anything by anybody?

Is it that slow of a news week that a bunch of people talking about what they're not going to do is worthy of so much coverage?
