there was quite a scene in royal oak friday evening, as filming commenced at the corner of washington and fourth streets. word is that sigourney weaver is here to film a movie for lifetime. a crowd gathered around the northwest part of the intersection that police had cordoned off, as production crews were doing their work. about the movie (from http://www.bostonherald.com/tr ack/star_tracks/view.bg?articl eid=1096167): Sigourney Weaver will co-produce and star in “Prayers for Bobby,” about a conservative woman whose gay son takes his own life. The Lifetime flick, according to Variety, is based on Leroy Aarons’ 1995 book that depicts the true story of a family’s opposition to their son’s homosexuality. Weaver’s character questions her feelings about her son’s sexual choices after he falls into a deep depression and eventually commits suicide. Russell Mulcahy, who directed Showtime’s “Queer as Folk,” will direct “Prayers for Bobby.” | ||
