As we rub the sleep from our eyes, flip on the laptop and curl up with a steaming cup of coffee, today our hearts turn to the Glory Days of Briggs Stadium and Bobby Layne, of Joe Schmidt and Wayne Walker. Some may drift back to Doak or Dutch, Barry or Billy, but all of our dreams are wrapped in blue and silver. This year has been glorious in its horridosity. The Lions have devolved to a hideous example of how bad things can get. So today...against the 10-1 Titans, will the 0-11 Lions win? Even compete? Or will the Blue and Silver hand over the ball before kickoff and walk away? I predict: Titans 48 Lions 6 Prize: a digital trophy engraved with your name. Suitable for framing in the Lower 48 |

Tennessee - 35, 21 points in the first quarter and then 14 more later in the game from a bad tackle or broken run. Lions - 20, 14 points off passing TD's and then 2 field goals. |

24-21 Titans. I'm going against the trend and say the Lions play close at home. Plus, the Titans don't really blow anyone out. |

I can’t believe I used my 300th post on the Lions…. Oh hell, it’s just a number. |

The Lions dig down deep on turkey day and pull an upset. Hanson kicks a 50 yard FG in OT to win it. Lions 27 Titans 24 |

Lions 21 Titans 38 Sorry, I just can't drink the Kook-Aid. Would have been Kool-Aid, but there's nothing cool about being 0-16. |

"Izzyindetroit - 21 points in the first quarter and then,,," That correct forecast deserves a prize! and in the final 6 min of the game as I type, Gary seems to have guessed a dead-on Lions 10 |

damn they're awful. Their level of sustained sucktitude is going to be cause for the league to start rotating the Thanksgiving Day game out of Detroit. I'd be very surprised if they're willing to keep it in Detroit after this year, despite the long tradition. This team has been too bad for too long. Hell, I'd settle for "mediocre" at this point. BTW, Gnome - pretty good call right out of the gate! |

What gets my gizzard is the success of the expansion teams. The last 50+ years of the Lions are a disgrace. What a waste of a new stadium. |

At the end of the game, it was easy to estimate the size of the crowd. I'd place it at around 239. |

Ray1936, Did you also notice that the Boos were just as loud in spite of all the empty seats? the handful of people left sure had their voices carry well! |

goodness, of all the guesses, mine seems closest but giving oneself a digitally engraved trophy is unseemly. I'll have to put on the thinking cap. Suggestions welcomed. |

They need to bring back Bobby Layne, to give them all a good kick in the ass.......as he did once to his lineman who allowed a sack on the previous play. I believe he took a delay of game penalty, but there were no more missed plays! |

First time in my life I left a game at half time. It was more fun drinking and tailgating then watching that debacle. What a clusterfuck...where to start? |

Go ahead and give yourself the trophy, Gnome. My 35-10 prediction was half right; that was the score at halftime, but if we go by total points, you win. Your 54 points beat my 45 without going over the actual total of 57. What do I win for 2nd place? |

I'd place it at around 239. say it ain't so! i didn't get to see the end of the game - well, really i did, because i did see the first quarter. but had that many people left at the end of regulation? i was en route to thanksgiving at the in-laws, so i was only listening on the radio. i remember how badly i felt for the tigers, i think in 2000, when they counted roughly 3,000 people in the stands for a game at comerica park. then again, i think that was the night when most folks left the park around the second inning because a giant swarm of flying ants descended upon the crowd. |

I was at the game and believe it or not stayed til the end. People started leaving 1:30 into the game after the first Tennesee TD. It was really quiet in there. There were only between 5 - 10,000 tops at the end of the game. The loudest it got in there is when Fisher challenged the completion in the 4th quarter. What a classless move. |
