While not specifically a Detroit topic, our nearest orbiting mystery will provide even Detroiters an excellent show tonight if cloud cover allows.

Caught this article that explains it quite well.

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today.

CHORUS:
Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes a blowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

All right!

Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like we're in
for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

Unfortunately, The cold rains of December won't allow for that. :-(

Sounds like the perfect nite to take a girl up to the rooftop. Thanks for the tip G. I was wondering why the waves were reaching so far up the beach.

It was pretty awesome last night as well. My dog and I went for a midnight walk and it was bright enough to read by.

It's called a perigree moon, and actually it was "full" on Friday night, it's already begun to wane.
