Silver Sunrise Shines Early Morning Light In New Detroit
A Sunrise performance by His Name Is Alive, a full Vegan Breakfast and the Detroit premiere of 2012: Science or Superstition to celebrate the Winter Solstice.

Detroit, Michigan, December 12, 2008 – At 7:30 am on December 21st, Eastern Market allies Detroit Evolution Laboratory and The UFO Factory will celebrate the Sun’s return to lengthening days and explore the 2012 phenomenon with at free and rare gathering, Silver Sunrise. When the doors of the UFO Factory open the event will begin with a short meditation on the Sun. As the sun rises, His Name Is Alive will take the floor to weave new compositions. After the set, Detroit Evolution Laboratory will offer an optional full vegan breakfast and The Lab’s Alan Scheurman and Gregg Newsom will facilitate a discussion of 2012. The Detroit Premier of Disinformation’s new documentary, 2012: Science or Superstition will begin at 9:30.

2012: Science or Superstition explores December 21, 2012: the end date of the sophisticated Long Count Calendar created by the ancient Maya in Central America. Countless books and websites, magazine articles and newspaper headlines debate its meaning, with enthusiasts in two camps: those forecasting apocalypse–the end of time–and those who see a coming renewal, a rebirth of consciousness. Adding fuel to the debate, some scientists see the increasing number of natural disasters in recent years as evidence of a catastrophic climax of events in 2012. How much of what we're hearing is science and how much is superstition? In this film the leading researchers, writers and scientists in the field tell us exactly what this date means to them, why it's important, and what we should expect.

The event is open to the public and free to attend. The Lab’s vegan, local/organic breakfast is optional for $10 a plate. Doors open at 7:30 am. Space is limited so we request a sincere RSVP to gregg@detroitevolution.com Call 313.316.1411 for more details. Silver Sunrise will be held at the UFO Factory, 1345 Division, Ste. 101. Please enter through the purple door in the alley then proceed straight ahead to the door next to the stairs.

...Skip the Vegan Breakfast. I'll take the Crave Case from the Alpha Centaurian White Castle's. And with all the doom and gloom being posted today on this forum, it looks like we will all be drowning in the upcoming "Age of Aquariums". Give me an old fashioned Mayan backyard Bar-B-Que and Human Sacrifice anyday.
