Nice, AIW. Looks like you used a fairly short exposure time, eh? And GSGeorge, I love that angle from the RenCen. VERY nice. |

Actually, with this being te 50th anniversary, I thought it would be a tad longer. Is it just me or do the shows seem to get shorter every year? |

I agree, they seem to be getting shorter every year. I remember the early years - I think the shows lasted 45 minutes and started a littler earlier since they didn't have to wait for the cue from TV coverage. We would take the Gratiot bus downtown and after the show, catch the bus back home and see replays on the 11:00 news. |

Why is it that every time I see one of Southen's photos, I want to throw my camera in the trash? |

My sentiments exactly, Ray. Ryan...you have to be one of the best photographers I have ever seen. You are so able to catch not only the moment, but the feeling...it is incredible! What a terrific picture of the city alive with the excitement of the fireworks! I can't wait to see the rest! |

Here are mine, taken from Brush Park. Southen, that camera of yours is an amazing piece of equipment. To be able to capture such clear, noise-free shots (using a fair amount of zoom) all the way from the RIC is astounding. |

Good photos, all. Gsgeorge, do you know if the Ren Cen has its windows washed prior to the fire works? How did you shoot through the glass without getting glare? Is it tinted? And Southen, thanks for trying to use a camera, with those so-so shots. JK, they are superb as always. Now I'm going to retrieve mine from the trash. |

Nice work Southen. I went through your slideshow and was wondering if that Nikon your using is 2 1/4" ? Or are you working all digi. I just noticed some were square instead of the typical rectangle. |
