I was kicked out of part of Belle Isle this afternoon, near the Conservatory. Apparently, half the park is rented out until Saturday evening. They were setting up, security was very nice in escorting us, but wouldn't tell us anything. Anyone know what movie? Apparently, they are using the Swan Pond, Conservatory, Aquarium, and other areas.

maybe they are making the movie version of the children's book "The Trumpeter Swan" - because of lower theater totals and smaller movie budgets, they are renting the swan boats on Belle Isle instead of using trained animals... it will save them hundreds...

no... sorry, i don't know the answer. :-(

It's actually some wedding show that will be on TNT. One of my fellow officers is part of the groom's party.

Do you mean TNT or WE or Style. There are several wedding series on those channels. Bridezillas, Whose Wedding Is It Anyway, Married Away and Platinum Brides. I don't think it would be the last two, as they are very high end weddings that usually cost in excess or $200, 000 or so.
Sorry, I had a very 'down-home' wedding in the 70's and I live a bit vicariously.:-)

I don't know when or where the show is supposed to air, but I understand that they are filming an episode of a new "DreamWorks/Mark Burnett docu-reality series" called Wedding Day. The actual wedding is scheduled for tonight.

Let's hope the weather stays perfect. Finally something that will cast Detroit in a positive light. The nuclear-winter backdrop is growing old.

To funny!

Andy, there actually were real swans nearby too. LOL, they were in the pond over by the fountain though.

The wedding thing... we were showing a friend around... possible wedding locations. How bizarre.
