This is definitely for the old heads.
I just got a 12" LP of "Fairy Tales" by Oliver Who from eBay. Does anybody remember that? This is one of those cuts that I used to hear Mojo play. It sounds like something straight out of Prince's camp. It was recorded on a local Southfield label called SpectrumX Records does anybody know what ever became of him?
I'm collecting old records and tapes of old school Michigan R&B bands from the 80's. Besides Oliver Who so far I have Dreamboy (my cousin played drums in this group), RFTW (of course), Felix and Jarvis, and Blake and Hines. Does anybody remember the song "Don't Stop"? Dude sounded like Prince and it got played on the Scene a lot. I want to add that to my collection. |
