My Park & Ride Bus into Downtown gets off at I-75 to access Livernois / Dragoon as a detour for the Gateway Project. Lately, I have noticed spray painted graffiti on utility poles & structures on the Service Drive between Livernois & Dragoon. The funny thing is that it looks like a stenciled, 2-color version of Kwame Kilpatrick's Face! It has words on his forehead, but I can't read it. Has anyone else seen these around town? A fellow bus rider told me she saw one near Clark Street too. Is it part of a larger campaign or just a person's interpretation of artwork? |

There has to be better ways of protesting than defacing in-use public and private property. |

Surely things can't be so bad as to make us look back at the MFIC as the good old days? Can they? |

Coleman was many things, but not the anointed scion of a money-grubbing political dynasty. He was a cab driver, airman, labor organizer and lefty brave enough to tell HUAC to go to hell. Then he became mayor, and that's a different story. |

MDOT has nothing to do with Kilpatrick. It is also questionable if it is really social commentary, if this guy makes t-shirts with the Kwamster. Seems more like a commercial advertisement. It still brightens up my commute, none-the-less. Anyway...thanks for you insight... |
