When did house numbers change in Detroit? How can one go about finding the changes?

They were changed in 1920 or 21. Go to the Burton Historical Collection at the Main Library. These directories are on the shelves, IIRC in the far back right corner of the room. You will need to access the 1920-21 City Directory. Look up the street you are interested in and both the old and new numbers will be listed.

In the past, patrons were allowed to xerox pages; but because of their fragile condition, that may no longer be allowed.

Thanks so much! I'm not in the area, so a trip to the DPL will have to wait for the next trip up. I'm specifically looking for the number change for 410 Seminole Avenue.
