I have known about this story for awhile - unfortunately, he has a very high value target for the majority community that can be easily moved. Since they haven't caught anybody, I'm going to guess it's the same people hitting him up multiple times. There is virtually no law and order in Detroit anymore. We have had rampant crime for decades but now there is virtual anarchy. This city is not a practical or even functional place to live or do business anymore. This city cannot survive on poor people and Detroit die-hards alone, which is essentially what it is reduced to. Your business may get chronically robbed, your church get its roof stolen, and no patrol cars available while you cower in your closet while your stuff gets stolen, but the mayor keeps it real and we've got an African Town on the way. | ||

Yes Bearinabox I strongly feel that way. I just do not care! How many workers does the store employ? Dittrichs has Insurance no? A resale-thrift shop is more practical. Be thankful those smash and grabs dont happen more often. Bearinabox that store is located not far from extreme crushing poverty and dispair on Seward at Woodward-Second etc. Im not budging. Way too much unfairness in our economic system-Ive encountered too many wage concessions (why do we always have to 'just find another industry or job') great hustle. Wish I had the nerve. |
