I know that Avalon Bakery is supposed to be moving to 55 W. Canfield, but I pass by the building every day and I see no signs of activity. Does anyone know if the move is still a go?

Also, does anyone know when (if it's still a go) that new Chinese place is supposed to start replacing Agave? The boards on the windows makes the whole block look bad.

And finally, does anyone know if Wayne is continuing with the second phase of their south university village project, and where its supposed to be located?

Inquiring minds need to know...

I walked by the Agave building last week and there were several people inside wearing suits and carrying blueprints.

2nd phase would be along Canfield.

I believe construction would not start until 2010.

Avalon better not be moving. Its a block away from me now. Best thing within walking distance.

Agave will be a new Chinese restaurant from the manager of the now defunct Asian Village

Their new location (55 West Canfield) will be approximately 1000 feet from the current one; how small is your walking radius?

The Avalon move is on hold for now. I don't think they will make the move before the end of the year. Don't know the reasons why.
