Anyone know an easy way to find out who owns a building in the city? Is there an on-line search you can do?

Generally if you go to the city/county Assessor's web page, you can do property searches to see who owns the property, if the yare up to date on taxes, land value, etc

^^^ not sure why the cut-n-paste is messed up, but if you go to the county register of deeds (and click on "land records search engine")you can cross ref. the info with transactions related to the property. (though wayne county is at least a few months behind recording info)
