I'm looking to find and old bike shop from the 70's to maybe late 80's ? It was run by Bobby Moore and "Bo". I been up and down Cass and can't recall. I got 3 addresses and don't know if any of them are good. 2234,3535, and 3530 Cass. The apartment across the street was torn down, so I can't find it. Been too long now. Any one know ? Thanks.

The Hub, http://thehubofdetroit.org/, on Cass just north of MLK is the only bike shop in the Cass Corridor I can think of off the top of my head. The address is 3611, but the place just opened up a year or two ago. It's probably not the place you're thinking of though.

I don't remember the bike shop, but it seems to me somewhere in that area was a pet store. I am going back a few years. West side of Cass. Lots of birds!! I had a law suit that lead me there because the owner or an employee was a witness to an auto accident. Any one remember a pet store in that neighborhood if you don't recall a bike shop?

I don't remember the bike shop or the pet store, but I think there's a bakery just off Cass a little north of there. At least it was there an hour ago, or else I'm hallucinating this loaf of bread I'm eating right now. Anyone remember this place?

Police believe the child porn ring operated out of a Michigan bike shop. The shop was owned by Bobby Moore, now deceased. At that time, four children were abducted from the Michigan area and murdered: Timothy King, age 11; Kristine Mihelich, age 10; Jill Robinson, age 12; Mark Stebbins, age 12. It's possible these children were used in videos produced by these men. The murders stopped around the time Lamborgine moved to Parma Heights in the late 70's.

The Oakland County child killings? I remember them well. I was in HS at the time and the whole area was terrified and everyone was on the lookout for a blue Gremlin, which the abductor was thought to have driven.

One of my friends, a high school kid who worked at KFC, unfortuately drove a blue Gremlin and was pulled over about a dozen times.

Same shop ? Can't be. We hung out there. Me, Pam, Allen, Fats. Can't really remember the other names. Well, Bob Moore did own it, at least he ran it. There was a "Bo" too. Maria.
Hum....Well, anyone know which building it is ?I don't think it's still opened. I looked on line for bike shops on Cass and didn't find one.
I checked with the Hub, thanks for the tip though. There's a place at 3535 Cass that's open. Something they're doing to revamp some of the areas I think.
Well, Hopefully someone reading this will know the building. Thanks Guys !

Okay, I really need to know that this is not the same Robert Moore that owned 3? motorcycle dealerships around here around that time. I think he dealt in Suzuki motorcycles and eventually snowmobiles. I'm not aware of him dealing in bicycles. I think he died long before 1996.

Lodgedodger, are you certain of that 1996 date? Can anyone else confirm that date?

I was wrong. I have verified that the other Robert Moore to which I referred died March 5, 1999 in Ocala, Florida.

Bikes, not motorcycles.
I knew he was dead. Dont' know when, but I heard something about his dogs being left alone with him.
Well, ok. Um......Don't know about all that other stuff. Does anyone know where the shop is ? I'd really like to go back for a bit. Is it empty ? Still open ? I haven't been down there yet. I'm using those Google maps. Half the time they're wrong and nothing looks the same. Empty lots, etc... I don't want to walk around aimlessly. Did I spell that right ?

My first trike was red, then the hard tired 2 wheeler with training wheels -- red, then my fav - a Huffy 20" Cactus Flower -- green and yellow. Then my first 10 speed !!!!! -- blue.
Now, I drive and old, yet reliable, car.

Well, I don't know about a good thing or bad. I still don't have an address. I was thinking last night anyway. We hung out at the shop after those killings. Like maybe 79 ? I was about 14, so was Allen and Fats. Pam was older then us. Don't remember how old Maria and Cynthia were.
Bob had weird hair and his eyes were -- well, weird ? We played pinball over there. Just hung out.
I did just find out Allen took his own life, I prefer to say it like that, a few months ago. Pam told me. He never married and had no kids, but his mom's still alive.
Someone out there has to remember the shop and us ?

The most compelling suspect, however, is James Donald Moore. I know I tend to overuse this word to describe these criminals, but Moore is a monster. Thankfully, he is safely locked away in the lovely Gus Harrison Correctional Center in Adrian, Michigan. For life.

Some of Moore's past convictions include child molestation in 1968 in Mt. Clemons, Michigan; sexual battery of a minor in 1978 in Southfield, Michigan, which was dismissed although I can't find any documentation as to the reason is was dismissed; and in 1987, child molestation in Lakewood, Ohio. Between the dismissed charges in Michigan in '78 and the charge in Ohio in '87, he moved to Cleveland and married a woman with children. She owned a blue Gremlin, long believed to be the car involved in the OCCK. He used it for frequent trips to Michigan to allegedly visit family.

At the time the OCCK were occurring, from February of 1976 until March of 1977, Moore was single. He met and married a woman from Ohio in August of 1977. This was an obvious ploy to conceal his true proclivities since he was a closeted gay who also happened to be a pedophile. He was not interested in sex with consenting adult males, although he thought he was, he was interested in sex with male children. So I guess that makes him just a pedophile, since gay males don't pursue children as sexual partners.

Other compelling facts: Moore was a neat freak. People seeing his house would have guessed he had a very thorough paid cleaning lady but he in fact cleaned himself and was obsessive about it. All of the victims of the OCCK had been well cared for and kept for a period before being found. They showed signs of bathing, nail clipping, and attention to personal cleanliness.

Moore was raised by very strict, very strange parents.

Moore was a truck driver. Itinerant lifestyle. Moore was also convicted of assaulting DJ Dempsey in Michigan. He is in prison for the particularly heinous death of Justin Bogdanik, who was found, barely alive, eyes Krazy Glued shut and horribly beaten, sexually assaulted, right here in Livingston County. Moore had lured Bogdanik by offering him money to help unload Moore's semi.

The similarities are striking. Moore preyed on victims who were vulnerable. Some were young, some were vulnerable in other ways, as in being homeless or drug addicts who were hustling for their next fix. Only the boys in the OCCK were sexually molested, the girls were not, as Amy Mihaljevic in Ohio was not sexually assaulted. All of the victims were also left near major roadways, so they were found very easily, as if the killer was giving himself a trophy for his handiwork.

According to an article in the Detroit Free Press, one of the suspects being investigated is from Cleveland. I hope it is Moore. He has left a devastating trail of victims who have a lot in common in with OCCK's victims.

According to Detective Anger, the cop who is revisiting the OCCK, Someone knows Something.
