Outside of the museums, campus martius, casinos, and such, what are some things I can do to keep me entertained from say 10 am to 3 pm tomorrow? Where are some of the cool shops downtown, etc?

TIA

Go to the Guardian Building and get a coffee at the Rowland Cafe. While you're there, go to the Pure Detroit store.

I was at the Guardian Building to visit Pure Detroit a about 3 weeks ago and it was closed for remodeling or something. Should be open now, but I'd call first.

The Ren Cen has a lot of shops and food if you want to see a lot in once place (indoors). There is a Pure Detroit there too, although it has mostly GM-related stuff.

Guardian's mezzanine had some problems with burst pipes. Should be back to normal now.

Thanks!

Also, where should I park if I'm staying at the Book Cadillac?

They tore down the People's Outfitting Building precisely so you wouldn't have to ask that question. Do you want it to have died in vain? :-)

You might like dropping in the Bureau of Urban Living on Canfield.

Mezzanine, Spectacles and a couple other interesting shops are all next to each other in Harmonie Park. Showtime just south of 94 on Woodward that you can spend hours looking around in.
Also, you can stop by the Inside Detroit Downtown Welcome Center at 1253 Woodward for all sorts of information, self guided tours and maps to the shops and fun stuff in the area.
