The quickest way for new folks to earn some name recognition is to make it a one-issue, personal thing, that is, removal of the incompetent 3. This is only a playbook for new black candidates though. There will be a handful of credible white candidates who enter the race, but the reality of the political culture in Detroit limits their playbook.
