I am going on a little trip to Manistee and wanted to know if there are any good pit stops on the way. Not only food but cool things to see. I am starting in Dearborn Heights the major roads that I will be on are I-75 to US-10 to M-115 to M-55. |

Go to the grocery store in Irons. it's 2 or 3 miles south of M-55 maybe 10 miles east of Manistee. They have the best jerky counter that i've ever seen. Get the sweet heat jerky. incredible stuff. Lots of good fishing around there too. |

No offense but that's probably the least scenic and interesting route to Manistee. If you go 96 to 31 to 10 to 31, you can make stops in Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Ludington as well as smaller towns like Pentwater. |
