Any of you pay for the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight ($60)? Anyone even follow boxing? I'd be hard pressed to even name more than a few current boxers. Growing up in the 70's I recall watching all the big heavyweight fights on free TV. Then in the 80's you had the great fighters like Leonard, Hearns and Duran. I use to be a big fight fan, now it's not even on the radar. |

I don't understand PPV these days. I could go have awesome seats at a Tigers game for $60. If I'm going to pay that much, I want to be there. $60 to watch on TV, that shit is silly. |

This fight is all hyped up, and it may be a really good one. I could be tempted to pay for watching it on TV, since my hard-working twenty-year-old son is also somewhat interested and it would give us something fun to "do" tonight, but the price is just ridiculous, in my opinion. And, what if the damned thing is over real quickly? Besides, as a young guy, I watched Ali fight on TV, and didn't pay a dime; compared to him, almost all of the guys out there, now, ain't shit. |

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Z. Boxing is dead. I don't know that I could care less. I'm more excited about the Wings, Pistons, Derby, Ottawa-New Jersey, showering, crappin, washing the car, wiping my butt than I am about this fight tonight. I might watch. If it was FREE.... |

Here in Vegas, most folks are more concerned about gang-bangers coming up from LA for the fight. Much of the crowd in attendance are not exactly doctorial candidates. I'm staying home here in the 'burbs tonight listening to the coyotes instead. |

Jeez, Ray, maybe I'm getting old, but that sounds like a pretty good time, to me. |

"Here in Vegas, most folks are more concerned about gang-bangers coming up from LA for the fight." I heard on the radio that Vegas doesn't want the NBA all-star game to ever come back. Their weekend take back in February for the all-star game was down 4% because people were afraid to go into the casinos because the out of control crowds. |
