Nothing says Eastside like Denby, a six pack of Strohs, and submarine races at the Foot of Alter Rd. jjaba looks up and sees a sea of car shop Johns with fishing poles.

Jjaba says it all...Denby, Stroh's and sub races...about as good as it got...in the 50's & 60's.

ES: I think Jjaba's getting it...maybe we could make him an honorary Eastsider...for a small donation, of course...say maybe like 10 cases of the first edition.

Ok, jjaba becomes honorary Eastsider but:

You gotta admit Cass Tech. ain't Eastside.
You got exempt jjaba from drinking.
You gotta teach jjaba which end of a fishing pole to use.
You gotta teach jjaba to say "youse guys getta go..."
You gotta exeampt jjaba from eating blood
sausage.
And you gotta permit jjaba to date Catholic girls.

Meet the conditions, we gotta deal.

jjaba, Proudly Westside.

There seems to be some confusion about venerable Cass Technical High School, Detroit.
Here are just a few from the Cass Tech. Hall of Fame. You can dial up Cass Tech. and find the whole list. Who's Denby got?

Geri Allen, Elen Burstyn, Donald Byrd, Regina Carter, Ed Gordon, Ron Carter, Kenny Burrell, Pat Harvey, Esther Gordy-Edwards, Kwame Kilpatrick, Gerald Mc Dermott, John De Lorean, Diana Ross, Paul Chambers, Lily Tomlin, The Miracles, and the White Stripes. These are just the most famous. We are Cass Tech., we are leaders in all fields.

jjaba, Class of '59.

On this same link, you can listen to the Cass Tech. Band for 13 minutes. As jjaba recalls, Denby doesn't have a band.

jjaba just came into Fame on this Forum.
Ok, how many of the Cass Tech. HOF were Eastsiders? We know that Diana Ross was from Brewster Projects. jjaba concedes any famous CT grad you claim.

But more importantly, name one famous Denby grad who ever amounted to anything.

jjaba.

Jjaba...careful...I'm thinking that maybe ES is really one of the day laborers that are seen around many towns...I think his real name is Eliseo...he claims to be a San Jose Shark but more likely he's a Coyote.
