Jjaba-Is there really a Delray anymore? Your Hunkie blood is showing. I worked at the Delray Hospital(sic)way before anybody can remember.

Jjaba was a patient in the psych ward at Delray Hospital.....He was diagnosed with a tic in which he kept flapping his hands and shouting out "Eastside is Best" Eastside is Best......" He was last seen sitting on the Dexter Bus which was headed to Cass Tech...and shouting at all passengers who got on the bus....poor man

Bill_r: You may have delivered Jj at the Delray Hosp...do you think there may have been oxygen deprivation...what else could explain his affinity for the westside?

Bill_r - If you have any further info regarding Jj it will be useful for a February Intervention that is being filmed for A&E.

How about just one thread...Called Eastside History.....Even the Northlawn "student" might add a few things about his life at CT in the 1950's....GB - You being the older role model for us younger eastsiders should kick this new thread off......I will look forward to it.....

Okay...but I'll call it Northeast Detroit history...otherwise we're apt to get some of the S'Eastern and other types jumping in...let's keep it within our boundaries as noted on the Morang thread.

That's interesting since Pappas, Apadokolis, Dakopolis, and Katzinitis all went to Tappan Intermediate with me.

ES: It will take a lifetime of intensive therapy to get over marrying that bit__! There isn't enough Ouzo in the world to cover up that mistake. A quart of Ouzo couldn't produce the hangover headache that she did! I shot a wild pig that was digging up our plants yesterday... and thought about her!

Did you unload the whole clip? You have suffered and we are still backing you because you have remained the solid rock - It does become concerning when you snuggle up to the Dexter Bus driver and once in a while side with his drivel and misguided thoughts about the true eastside which is really what Detroit is all about.....so reload and I hope you have voted for Obama already by absentee ballot.....super Tuesday here we come....

Jjaba: We had to be careful...never knew when one of dem dere Westsiders might sneak over and grab one of our women! If Jjaba had been a true buddy in those days he'd have grabbed S'Eastern '59 and hauled her off to the Westside...or at least talked me out of marrying her!

Gb - so Jboy screws up again........as we learned at Columbus from Mrs Sturm....."Don't trust those Westsiders children" "If you are approached by someone from the westside......scream and yell! and run for home......."

Sounds like Goblue made the same mistake jjaba had with girls at Mumford. Cass Technicians are not known for good moves so we tried our skills at Mumford. Small town Luterans are definitely friendlier. jjaba did meet a nice Polish girl at WMU from Hamtramck who showed good hospitlaity at home. Love those second story porches lined up like soldiers.

The Rock has also offered Eastside tours. Is GP considered Eastside enough for a tour? Just don't ask jjaba to tour without socks! That's a line he won't cross.

jjaba, Proudly Westside.

J: I remember that the Mumford girls wanted you at least to wear matching socks.........Remember to keep you eyes and ears open about Sheila Fishman '61 - a Westside Fox

Jjaba: If you show up for the Eastside tour in GP style meaning loafers with no socks we'll toss your ass in the D River at the foot of Lakewood and pick you at the Belle Isle bridge (assuming that you can't swim against the 6 mph current).

GP is NOT Eastside...anymore than Grosse Isle is Westside...you have to go through Checkpoint Charlie to get into GP from the Eastside...after the GP cops frisk you...if you go that route be sure to bring your passport and don't look too ethnic.

This is not to say that ES and I weren't happy to attend submarine races with GP sweet things who wanted to go slumming. If you bring Sheila Fishman with you ES will arrange a police escort.
