For those who are still into open-wheeled racing, plus it affects Detroit because of the Grand Prix.

Finally, 12 years of ruining open-wheeled racing in the US is over. I hope it can be made viable again

We should have never let the real Grand Prix, F1, get away. Those were the days.

Won't matter, no one cares about the IRL...and it's not like there are millions of Champ Car fans to move to the IRL...the few there were are pissed as hell about it.

Hope with the unification some luster eventually will re-appear. FACT JACK: NASCAR is king. That ain't going to change for the vast majority of "racing Fans". BUT "back in the day", in person, 2 transitor radio, closed circuit, tape delay or live TV..."Gentlemen start Your Engines"...meant one thing and one thing only and fostered the acceptance and growth of every sanctioning body of motorsports.
